Portland Street East, Manchester.

Another view looking down Portland Street, except looking east towards Piccadilly. There is a very mixed opinion on these 1960’s concrete buildings of whom many see these as a most modern carbuncle of architectural design. That said, they have been an iconic view of Manchester for a few decades now and slowly becoming an intrinsic part of the city. Love them or hate them, they are a part of manchester. Impressive with their strong architectural lines. At their best… only really when the sun shines to show their form.
