I’ve always wanted to paint Piccadilly station with it’s hustle and bustle during a peak period. So I finally got to interpret it. It reminded me so much of those commutes home in the 90’s and of the lovely feeling of the late sun pouring through the arched windows. I loved painting the long shadows and the mix of people with their bags of shopping and office workers hoping that the train runs on time. So this is platform 8 for the nerds and trainspotters.
