This is my latest painting of the famous Alberts Schloss bar on Peter Street in Manchester. Its unmissable with its striking blue and white awnings. I’ve wanted to paint this for a while… but it seemed too camp (Ooh matron) with it’s garish awnings x 3. However I decided to reduce to it 1 with the crop and added a few summer shadows. It also shows the Ukraine Flag… and garnished blue and yellow flowers to show support for the plight of people suffering in the war.
Oil on board. 14″ x 12″
