Hopperesque

This is not the most glamorous of paintings that I have produced lately. It is a Manchester scene, but one that perhaps you don’t recognise. It’s located in a small back street named Rowendale St. (opposite Deansgate locks)
It appealed to me for it’s homage to Edward Hopper who painted many scenes of isolation, emptiness and loneliness. It reflects very much my feeling’s after recently losing my brother.

Oil on board: 44cms x 24cms.
