Adlington Meadow

Oil on board
50 x 50cms in beech frame

This was a cheeky landscape of a meadow in Adlington. After coming home late one evening on a balmy hot summer evening I stopped the car and took some reference pictures of the meadow just as the light was fading and the shadows were extra long. The farmer had just harvested the hay bales which you can just see in the distance. The earth was scorched and gave off a rich amber glow.
