Following on from my last post, I have continued with my interest of painting still life’s. I have always admired some of the beautiful classical porcelain from rome and greece. Their shapes (although out of fashion at the moment) are a joy to paint and after scouring a few more charity shops I found this little beauty for £2.50. So many artists clump these together with other objects that their shape gets diluted. So I thought I’d keep it simple… I enjoyed the challenge of trying to recreate the blue “delph’ marks on the body but i was quite pleased with the end result.
